13.1 By Kennedy

This will be my second half marathon. It is called San Jose Rock n' Roll. I ran it with my mom, sister, friend, and running teammates. The half marathon theme this year was based on guitars. This was my second half marathon. The first one I did was the San Francisco Marathon first half across the Golden Gate Bridge. It was cool!

On that day after the half marathon we went to the 49ers football game against the Cowboys (America's Team). I met Shane Skov one of the players who was on the Stanford football team. (sorry the pics are out of order - my mom loaded them and I can't move them easily)

All the people who ran with us parked at are house because our house is close to the starting line and finish line. Some of the people are Eric, Arushi (who is our age), out mom Lisa, Madhu, Landry, Alyssa, Parminder, Anu, and Anuj. Almost all of them run on my mom's team, Run365.

We all finished the awesome half marathon together. My time was 2:24:30. I felt good with that time because it felt comfortable. We stay with our mom who was pacing everyone else. She is a coach for the San Francisco Marathon's training program, Run365,

The Cowboys are my favorite team. We watched their victory against the San Fransisco 49ers.

I felt like I wanted to get smarter at the game so I decided to bring a book called Diary Of A Wimpy Kid The Ugly Truth.

Photo Bombs at the Stanford Game - by Kennedy

On the last home game of the season it is tradition to let the fans go on the field to see the Stanford football team.

Christian McCafferey is the best running back in Stanford history so he was the big hit on the field. Christian had lost of security guards making sure he doesn't get attacked by crazy people.

I got three gloves from Francis Owusu, Johnny Caspers, and Bryce Love some of the top players on Stanford.

Selfie with Johnny Caspers!

Punt, Pass & Kick - 49ers Final - by Kennedy

Punt, pass, and kick is a footbal competition done all over the country. Kids from 4-16 compete on the length and accuracy they can punt, pass, and kick a football.

The winners got to go to the 49ers pre game against the jets. We got to go on the field and meet all the players.

I got second place in the girls 10-11.

I went against 2 different girls at my friends middle school. Before the game we practiced on the schools basketball court.

At the football game my cousins Nate, Nick, and Chris were there with My uncle David and his girlfriend Laurie.

My Future Life as a Hockey Player - by Kennedy

After two soccer games my mom signed me up for a girls ice skating camp. I got all my pads on so that means I am ready to get skating for the first time.

First we had skating drills where we got warmed up skating with a stick, helmet, and pads.

Then we did fun drills called the super man dive. This dive will be useful in hockey games if you wanted to block a shot.

Lastly I was shooting with some other kids my age. Most of the kids there were playing ice hockey for the first time.

There were about 50 girls there enjoying there time at San Jose Ice just like me.

San Francisco - Great Day for Soccer - by Landry

Today we had a soccer game in San Francisco. We were playing against the San Francisco Aftershocks.

I play goalie and it is really fun. I made a bunch of big saves and this one girl was dribbling at me and I slide at her and got the ball. Although we played well we lost 3-0 against the best team in the league.

After the game my mom decided that I could go to 7-11 to get a slurpee. I combined a bunch of different favors and it tasted so good.

Since we were playing on the coast of San Francisco my mom decided to take a picture above the beach. The waves were really big.

Summer Isn't Over Yet - by Landry

Today we went swimming with our friends Morgan and Marina who are on our soccer team, and Hazel who is our friend from school. Can't believe it's still September.

We were swimming at our grandpa's pool. We played a bunch of fun games and we all had fun.

After swimming we went and ate dinner with Marina and Morgan. Then, they both left at 6:30.

State Cup Soccer - by Landry

Today we had a State Cup soccer game against the San Jose Earthquakes. This game was with the green team.

I play outside back and I also play goalie. One of the girls I was playing against was pulling on my arm.

My team is wearing pink jerseys for breast cancer awareness. We do this every October.

Our team was won 4-0. We are now second in our group behind MVLA.

Video Games By Kennedy

On a normal San Jose night for me, I was on my new computer.  I was showing my mom how to play my favorite video game called Slither.io.

How do you play Slither.io?  You play Slither.io by controlling your snake that you named and chose a color for.

The point of the game is to control your snake to make another snake to run into you. When you eat little dots, it makes your snake die. When you eat the dots you grow longer and if you get big enough, you get on to the leader board.

Shane Skov By: Kennedy Schoennauer

On a hot afternoon we went to our soccer game next to Levi Stadium.  Once we got there we saw a tinted black car. We saw Shane Skov. He is from Stanford University and he played football there. He is now on the S.F. 49ers football team so that means he is famous. Thankfully I brought my football so that Shane could sign it.

NFL PPK Competition - By Landry

This weekend we went to the NFL's Punt, Pass, and Kick. It was in Pacific Grove and it was at Pacific Grove high school.

There were her age groups from five-year-olds to 16-year-olds. And both boys and girls could compete.

You want to Punt, Pass, and Kick the farthest and straightest you can. They set up a tape measure to see how far and straight you went.

At the end they add up your score to see the total feet and inches you Punted, Passed, and Kicked.

In our group, Kennedy got first, I got second and another girl got third. This was fun and I hope we can do it next year.

After the competition, we went to dinner in Downtown Monterey. Then we went on the long trek home.

Punt Pass & Kick - by Kennedy

A composition I do every year is called punt, pass, and kick. It is a competition where they add up the length of everyone's score and whoever gets the most in there age group, gets to go back for another round and if they win that they get to go to a 49ers game and get a certificate on the field.

There were lots of kids but one in my age group other than my sister. The closer you get to the tape measure the better.

It was overcast so it was hard to throw. To make it easy I blew on my hands to make them warmer and stickier.

I won my group so i get to come back October 15,2016.

The balls were big so that means we need to practice with the bigger balls since we gat used to the size of the big ball and the size of our tiny hands.
