Soccer Clinic - by Kennedy

On an exiting weekend we went to a soccer clinic hosted by Brandi Chastain and Cindi Parlow Cone. The two of them were gold medalist for the US National team.

Brandi is slightly related to us. Her uncle married my dad's aunt. I got her autograph on a book about her.

During a station she noticed that my shoe was untied so she asked if she could tie it. I said yes so when she was tieing it my crazy dad took a picture of it happening. 😎

Mustang Tournament - by Kennedy

On a normal weekend we had a soccer tournament in Danville. The tournament was the Mustang Stampede. I had to miss the first game of the green team because I was in Tahoe.

In between the first white game and the second white game we went to REI with girls from our team. REI is the brand of most rock climbing/camping items.

When I was sitting in one of the camping chairs I fell out and everyone started laughing. Once we left the store to go back to the game my nose started gushing blood.

My First Half Marathon - by Kennedy

On a sunny weekend morning we went for a training run with our running team. We asked our soccer friend Nat if she wanted to go with us because we all were training for...

We all were training for a half marathon. For Landry and I it was our first half so our mom wanted to take us to get donuts as a reward for not giving up in training.

Before a half marathon I recommend you go to a chiropractor to work on sore muscles or injuries. We went to our chiropractor named Dr.Bennet.

We were exited to go to the expo for this half marathon because it was our first. We went all the way up to San Fransisco because that is where the race and the expo was.

My mom is a really good pacer so she paced the slow run with my sister and I. We started the race with throw a throw away shirt on to keep us warm.

On a humid morning we woke up at 3:00 in the morning to make the long drive to San Fransisco to get to the race on time.

These people are apart of our running group that my mom coaches. We all ran this half marathon on a nervios morning.

It was foggy and cold when we ran across the Golden Gate Bridge. It was funny when the wind almost blew my moms pacer sign out of her hand.

At the finish we celebrated for finishing our first half marathon. After the half marathon we rushed to our soccer game all the way in Plesanton.

SF Half - by Landry

Here we are on our last training run. We were training for the San Francisco half marathon.

There I am (left to right) Natalie, from our soccer team, my sister Kennedy, and my friend Arushi.

Two days before the half marathon we went to our chiropractor Dr. Bennet. It really hurt but I felt better.

I don't really know why my mom took this picture. It was really sunny that day.

My mom wrote "My first half" on our bibs. I didn't know you could do that.

Run365 is the official training program for the San Francisco Marathon. My mom coaches for them.

These are some of the people who run with us every Sunday morning.

During the half marathon we ran over the Golden Gate Bridge. It was really foggy and you couldn't see.

I liked our medals. After the race we had to go to our soccer tournament.

Summer Fun - by Landry

Today at my mom's work we caught baby lizards. They were out on the wood by the swings.

One figured out how to make it to my nose. It tickled me a little.

Our record for one day is nine. But today we only got four.

The same lizard stayed on my nose for a while. My sister named some of them but I didn't.

Hanging with Friends - by Kennedy

At my moms school, which is up in the mountains, we went to play with our best buddies. These buddies are LIZARDS.

The names of these LIZARDS are Jim, Kim, Tim, and Slim.

I love LIZARDS so much that I let them crawl up my body onto my face.

The buddies love the heat of our human bodies so that's why they will stay on us for a while. By the way LIZARDS are cold blooded.

We find the LIZARDS laying on wood and rocks in the sun.

When we were helping a teacher at 1:00 I realized we hadn't had lunch so I made this sign to tell my mom I wanted to eat.

Our Final Mission - by Landry

Today my family went to the mission San Diego de Alcala. We needed something to do while we waited for our flight.

This mission was the first mission ever built out of all 21 missions.

The church was very big and it had a lot of gold.

This is an actual fort made by Native Americans.

Mission San Diego - by Kennedy

Mission San Diego de Alcala was built in 1769.  It was also the first mission that ever existed in California.

Mission San Diego de Alcalas church was built with the mission. Mainly all missions have churches that are really colorful but I noticed that the San Diego mission was the opposite.

These seats where people would sit at meetings. The wood is more than 100 years old.

In the garden of the mission there are lots of plants including the cactus you see in the picture.

A Day in Tijuana - by Landry

Today, my family and friends went to go visit Tijuana, Mexico. I have crossed the border to other countries but never to Mexico.

We went to the candy store and got a whole bag full of candy.

This is the fence/wall that separates the US from Mexico, also known as the border.

Thousands of people cross the USA/Mexico border every day and we were some of those thousand people.

Visiting TJ - by Kennedy

When we went on our trip to San Diego we desided to go to Tijuana, Mexico for a day. We drove near the border, then walked across the border with our passports.

We went with our friends Skyler and her dad Sloane. Tijuana is a pretty poor area but it is a pretty one as well.

The border of USA and Mexico already has a wall/fence with high security. Why does Donald Trump want to make a wall twice as tall?

We ate lunch in a little restaurant that had good burritos and a mechanical bull. Also, I ordered a non-alcoholic strawberry margarita.
